Inside Crochet are hosting an exciting new 12 part crochet along next year. Designed by Jane Crowfoot, the Spirit of Flora CAL made with Stylecraft yarns will start on 5th January 2023 and will run throughout the year in issues 154-164 inclusive.
Spirit of Flora is a stunning collection of 12, individual, square motifs based on the beautiful Arts & Crafts tiles designed by William De Morgan. Jane is keen for crafters to experiment with their own creativity when using their motifs in their blanket designs and so several layouts will be suggested.
For this reason Jane has suggested a ‘starter pack’ for the CAL which contains a gorgeous collection of one ball each of 13 shades of Stylecraft Life DK and Stylecraft ReCreate DK

The Spirit of Flora project ran as a monthly crochet along in Inside Crochet Magazine in 2023.
As the rights to the patterns have now reverted to Janie Crow, the pattern will be rereleased over the summer months of 2024.

The main CAL will showcase several layout options using the sample packs, to help inspire crocheters.
The magazine will also run three, additional, exclusive patterns from Jane, using her Spirit of Flora motifs. The additional patterns will be a tote bag, a floral shawl and a beautiful cushion and will be released throughout the year.
Please note: crocheters may need to purchase additional yarn depending on the colours they choose and the size of their final project/projects. Patterns for these and the main CAL will only be available from Inside Crochet Magazine (issues 154-164 inclusive).
